mailing lists

Mailing lists are the lifeblood of many nonprofit theater companies, and these groups frequently exchange lists among themselves. Because so many subscribers to one company also subscribe to others, however, the number of duplications is large, and culling is necessary. "We have to gather about 400,000 names to mail 200,000 pieces," said Helene Davis, the director of press and marketing at the Manhattan Theater Club. That company rents its list for $100 for each 1,000 names, and offers 7,000 households to marketers. http://www.martinworldwide.net/
