Time Sheets

Allentown City Council has created a committee to look into how police officers accumulated enough overtime to retire in 2005 with pensions that were in many cases more than their base salaries. The committee, made up of Councilmen Louis Hershman, Tony Phillips and David Bausch, will review time sheets and an internal city report filed on overtime worked at the Allentown Fair. "We want to know how it got to where it got and who was responsible for approving it," Hershman said. Hershman headed a previous ad-hoc pension review committee looking into the larger issue of how the pensions were approved and what changes were made to the police contract during negotiations to make them possible.http://www.shopclock.com/
